I think Walther changed the magazine design (at least they did with the .40's), and that could be the cause of that kind of jamming.
For instance, the original .40 mags had orange followers, and when they came out with the redesigned mags, they have blue followers.
Or the magazine feeding lips are worn out...
If they recalled the mags, of course its a free exchange.

Actually the P99 in 9mm is more accurate than the .40, its a great gun.
I bought the P99 in .40 because I had shot thousands of rounds in my dad's P88 9mm, and wanted to move up.
Ideally, I'd have both.
Unfortunately, the P99 in 9mm isn't convertable to .40 , the .40 slide is way beefier, and for a few other reasons too.
Hey whatever you do, don't get a glock man...unless its the Glock 20 in 10mm....now THAT is a helluva gun!
My other favorite pistols are the H&K Mark 23 (SOCOM), and the USP Tactical.

About Sigs, I like them and all, but I'd stay away from the SigPros.
Personally, I don't like the P7, with its grip cocker...
If I were you, get the only respectable Glock IMHO, the 20, in 10mm, that's a bad boy!
You have a 9 and a .45, If I were you, at this point get a .40 or even better a 10mm. The Glock 20 is prolly the best 10mm you can get, period.

the closest you could have gotten was a AR-15 Delta H-Bar with the scope grooves, and the H&K SP-89, the preban civ. versions.
