On another note, I was able to find a Cobb AP v2 for $500! But too bad I won't have the money till the end of August... Hope the guy will still have it by then

well when ur going back to stock ya...
u can do it like me and my friends did it...
a vice grip to the springs and a C clamp on the other side of the springs and shove the strut through...
it worked but hell it was hard...

yeah spring swapping. idk what the parts are called but you put the vice grip on the chrome looking part(at a loss of words. i cant think right now) to make sure the strut part doesnt move when taking the bolt on/off. the towel is there to not scratch/dent.
edit: not sure if this makes sense but yeah ill show yuo one of these days....

i know what u mean... i just kept the strut extended out.. easier in the end to just compress the spring man... but if ur lowering the car u don't even have to do that.. u can just set the spring on the strut...

i got some lil more things to do to my suspension but after dealing with it so many times i just dont care anymore...but still i have to look into it to fix my knocking and squicks

ya believe me its way past the vice grips on the strut shaft bro...i almost snapped an allen key with a breaker bar its so locked up...
but i just got back from soBay . got a FR strut w/low miles for$50 at AutoHq and then stopped by GST on the way back and got me some brand new prodrives for $250 otd!!! im gonna pull my struts out at home and have my friend do the spring swap at BigO with the right tools. hopefully be on the Prodrives Fri!
and a big fat F'n +1 for JIN...ur the man bro, i owe you one

no problem dude, if i didnt spot it, i'm sure you would have spotted it soon or later.
still, have your fingers crossed, still gotta put those struts and springs in.
too bad its such a pain in the ***, mine was easy but messed it up all because i didnt know where to place the washer.

just popped my fronts off in like 30min and took them to bigO. my boy is the asst manager there, had his lead tech do them on the side for me. only prob is im not gonna have time to get the rears to him until sat so ima be ridin all raked out at the meet....oh well
