BAIC's drive and SHOOT meet????? -- DATE SET: setp 19, 2009...

yes, i said shoot... as in a firearm.

a kalif legal firearm.

there's a place called PANOCHE HILLS around the central valley.

if you take H101, it's a great drive. in a rush, you can take I-5.

it's in the middle of no-where so you need to self sufficient. and since this will be late august/early september, it WILL BE HOTTER than megan fox (temperature-wise).

the last few miles to get to the place is a dirt road so if your subie cant make it over a speed bump, drive another car. i'm taking my toyota truck.

self sufficient: bring everything with you and pack everything out.
'
panoche is in BLM land so that means where you can setup SAFETLY, you can start shooting!

http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UT...,0.071411&z=14

from what i've read, GATE 3 is the spot where people are setting up the firing line.

right now panoche is halfway close due to fire restrictions so the premiere spot to shoot wont be available.

but from what i've read from calguns.net, it's still a nice spot to shoot from. not as far (max range is like 290 yards) but hey... i'll be bringing a ginourmous revolver... so it's like 20 yards... hee hee...

again, right now this is just feeling out stage. i'm looking at around last saturday in august.

I would be down for sure. I went to the Ukiah BLM land and it was awesome. They have a 500 yard range setup and you can shoot anything you want. Rapid fire is encouraged. I brought some tanternite and blew up a couple of tv's. Road is a little rough but there where a few cars there so its doable.

you can camp overnight at the same spot...

just be aware no open fire. and that you need to bring in everything with you and pack everything out.

or, there is a motel about 30 minutes away...

my brother (calguns member) has a Stag AR15 (CA LEGAL of course) that he wants to bring, is this OK? It has Ca Bullet Button installed and has ten round mags, he says to bring your .223 and lets SHOOT!

I also have a CA legal AR-15. You can shoot anything you want at BLM land. So is this going to happen? I think one day is enough. Go super early in the morning and shoot all day til the sun goes down.

What kind of place is it? Is it a shooting range? Or a wild spot where you are allowed to basically do whatever? If the latter, I'm interested and I bet my two friends (Ryan and Jason) are too.

I've been wanting to do some rapid fire pratice with my rifles which isn't allowed at the damn range which has always puzzled me. How can you practice your shot placement by only doing one shot per 3 seconds, and from a seated position behind a nice "desk". That's not real life! I want real life shooting scenarios, like moving forward on a target, multiple targets at once, etc, etc.

Maybe we can bring some tannerites? I have some still. Those things are FUN!

This is the sort of thing I'm talking about!

With toys like these:

The shooting range pisses me off sometimes... I hate when people claimed that they are skilled marksmen that have never even shot at anything but a piece of paper in a controlled room with more rules then the US lawbook.

What up brucelee!!!

Yeah BLM land is the shiznit!!!!! I have been to knoxville and the ukiah one. knoxville is closed but the ukiah one is open and bad azz!!! Its up to 500 yards. Picnic benches setup for your arsenal. I went a few months ago with a couple buddies and had a blast!! literally!

We brought tannernite and blew up all kinds of stuff. TV's where the best. But yeah you can shoot whatever you want however you want. Rapid fire is encouraged. No range master just pure freedom. I even brought some 12 gauge bird bombs. It was really fun.

I am down for a shooting trip. I have an AR and some pistols. Would love to go back.

The road is a little rough but a have a 4x4 diesel and can fit 4 plus me. But there where poeple that had cars so........

Super down let me know.
