Enough with the stupid comments, dudes.

My name is Zara and I'm the All-Girl instigator. My current car is a 2007 Legacy 2.5i Limited. I've been on the forums since before the i-club "break-up". This is my 8th Subaru, and 13th car. It's a disease, really. My husband and I are like heroin addicts, but with cars instead of real drugs. Can someone develop a 12-step program already???

Yes, it does... My name is Silke and I second what Zara said about the addiction. I've been a co-administrator on www.subaruforester.org since 2003, and all in all I've owned 7 Subies in the last 6 years (some more obscure than others). Even though we're down to 2 of them now, I'd really like a 10 car garage and start collecting them! Anyways, the 04 FXT is my jack of all trades... it's seen rally-x, auto-x, various navigational & TSD rallies (on and off-road), has been down the drag strip a few times, and has served us well as a road trip vehicle in 4 states. 86k miles and still going strong!

That's impressive. You might be able to make my car look good.

Meh, it's an auto so it's slow... 15.3 is all I've choked out of it because I've seen too many horror stories of cracked trans housings on the 4EAT. But it's bracket racing, so it doesn't matter, right?

Heck no, I wouldn't do D drops! I just don't have the guts to torque brake to 2500-3000. I'm pretty sure that's what's needed to get into the 14's, but I usually wimp out at 1800 or so...

I'm pretty sure the stock torque converted won't let you go over 2300 anyway, try it. Come to a stop, mash the brake, then floor the gas, it'll go to about 2300 and stay there. (=

Always good to hear about another girl racing, my girlfriend races with me and my buddies a lot, super cool

man, i could never get my fxt into torque brake mode. the brake pedal would never sink to the floor like the old wrx's. the car would just lurch lurch lurch.

With the stock brakes I couldn't do it either... the car would just override the brakes at some point and start creeping out from under me. Now with the STI Brembos it's a different story...
