I got a tentative confirmation from Rich- along with questions that make it obvious he hasn't checked in here for a year or more, hoping so though!
Huck's also being flaky- says his mother is going to be here, but you and I know she's coming to see little Penny, not him!

I completely understand how it is with a new baby so I'll give Huck a pass if he really is tied up with family. Still would love to see him out with us though.

Glad to hear you've had some contact with Rich. Hopefully they're in 'cause Andy gave me something for you and him

We still need at least one more confirmation to give us the minimum grid of 5 entrants, I sure hope some of the Humboldt locals can find the time to come along...otherwise we'll be going to Big Sur next year!

I think the WRX is still on injured reserve- they probably would have taken the Baja, but I expect she will be sticking around to support Rich, it is too bad, those two are always big fun to have along and it isn't the same without them.

I will not be able to go. I am returning from SLO... and heading straight for the fire that broke out Saturday in Ruth. SOOO if you are planning any part of the rally up highway 36 I would advise you to avoid anything past Van Duzen road just west of the road that goes to Ruth. PM or call for more info as this is my stomping grounds. Also be advised that there will be increased traffic and law enforcement on highway 36, and especially around the Dinsmore/ Mad River/ Ruth Lake areas.
I will be actively working the fire, but I SHOULD be home at night as I live in Fortuna and it is about an hour from my duty station. If anyone wants to crash at my house PM and I will give you my phone number so we can talk. If all else fails I ahve a friend watching my house that can let folks in. I also have plenty of tools and some space for those who need to do some last minute work
I am pretty bummed that I cannot make it. I have been looking forward to this for years, and this year it is starting in my home town and I STILL cannot make it. Oh well, thats the name of the game when you do what I do.

Regarding logistics, there is a Safeway and Rays Food Place in Fortuna on the main drag. There is also a Starbucks and small shopping center around the corner from the start location. There are plenty of decent breakfast places as well. Plenty of indie coffee places if u hate Starbucks as well
Hit me up for any info regarding any of the towns around the rally location.

I'm confirmed for this weekend. Myself and my friend Sam will be coming in an 07 outback sport. We may be interested in a caravan from the south bay area and we also may be interested in splitting a room in Fortuna on Friday night. PM me if someone is still interested in either of those. you can also email me at gserbin @ gmail.com

Since Brian will be driving up Sat morning does anybody else want to split my room? It will be $32.75 (half of $65.50) for a room at the Holiday Inn Express in Fortuna.
