Great place to take the kids, and just to walk around and enjoy the activities and scenery.

Thats the thing dude, I'm going to be at travis for probably quite a while. For my new job there's only two bases, and I don't want to put in for the other one anytime soon. The reason I asked about dogs is, I have two pit bulls, and they are like my kids.

Congrats on bein a girl, so, anyone have a clue on the dogs? I know in South Dakota a few towns have breed specific laws where no pits can live there. I know Travis doesn't allow pits on base. Just wondering if there any such laws for the surrounding towns.

Like hell it doesn't.

I think the only thing you can't have in CA is a three headed demon-beast who is a decendant from the watch dog of Hell. Aside from that, anything goes.

And don't buy. Unless you know you plan on being in the area for 10+ years and don't mind losing money. A lot of money.

I shoulda took your advice and applied to OPD a long time ago....woulda been in the academy at least.

Like I said...gotta ***** out your t-score, see what department 'wants' you then after the academy and a couple years transfer to where your heart desires.

Don't forget about us here when you're out in a far away exotic place... or you maybe wishing your were back here because your next duty station is a demoralizing station (like Gitmo Cuba where I was once unhappy ).
