So the clutch job I performed last Sunday on my Super Beetle ended in epic failure. I threw in the towel yesterday and had it towed out to Bugformance in Sac to have them sort it out, along with some miscellaneous oil leaks and a leaking brake hose. 
In preparation of switching to "Plan B" for the rallycross this coming Sunday, I finally got around to installing the mudflaps on my WRX that I've had kicking around in the closet for over three years.

Hey, I have a SCCA solo race comming up this Saturday. I will be sure you let you guys know how I do. I'm not expecting much just because it is my first time. But damn would I like to lay down quick time for my class. The car will be in stock form with the stock tires an all. So well see.
Hey chris, have you gotten those header's yet? Let me know when you go to box up your stock stuff. Remember I want them.

Got a call from the shop about an hour ago. Turns out that the new pressure plate that I installed last Sunday wasn't compatible with the clutch disc that I installed last month. The rivets on the hub of the disc were hanging up on the fingers of the pressure plate, and now they're both shredded.
So now I'm out $500+ for them to install a matched Kennedy 1700lb pressure plate/friction disc combo, and have them replace the transaxle input shaft seal, flywheel seal, and oil cooler seals which were all leaking.
Ooooohhh, and it gets even better. Since the right rear brake hose was leaking fluid, I had them do a full brake inspection. Apparently, the best parts in the system are the new parking brake cables I installed earlier this month.
Save the brake shoes, everything else is shot to hell.
