Good news for Solano County, we stood strong!

With 96 percent of the vote counted, Prop. 8 was winning by a decisive 400,000-vote margin, 52.2 percent to 47.8 percent. It piled up huge margins in the Central Valley and carried some Democratic strongholds such as Los Angeles County. The measure lost in every Bay Area county but Solano.

In this historic election of the nation's first African American president, black voters made up 13 percent of the electorate -- up from 11 percent in 2004 and 10 percent in 2000. Fully 95 percent of blacks voted for Obama. In 2004, Kerry won 88 percent of the black vote and Gore won 90 percent in 2000.

I disagree on that. It's been documented that Obama stated that he will initiate the CLinton A.W.B. when he gets into office.
Also, remember that Biden is one of the people who wrote up the intitial Assualt Weapons ban.
The second amendment was placed into the constitution as a checks and balance to the Govenment. People being afraid of the Government = Tyranny vs. Government that is afraid/aware/respect of the people = Democracy.
