I've personally never liked radar detectors. I've had one in a couple of cars and they've always given me a false sense of security and much rather trust my own judgement and just always keep an eye out of your surroundings. I'd say take the 300-400$ from a radar detector and get the brake setup or put it towards the swap and just be a cautious driver. But then again it's your money

but you cant see two miles ahead... i think its a smart investment and i bet most people on here do, especially after our last drive cuz we all would have past the chp at over 100 if allens radar hadnt picked it up.... you cant see on windy roads, at night, or into the chps little hide-away nooks. if im breaking the law, im going to try to be smart about it.
