I’m definitely going to vote!
The main things I'm excited to vote for are Obama and No on 8. FYI I don’t think Obama is the best candidate, just the best one running. (And I am SOOO against McCain.) I think whoever has to take over the crappy job bush has done has it in for them.
And yes I've done my research... I actually have to write a paper about Prop 8 and the propaganda that people use in their speeches and websites. Everyone uses multiple types of propaganda, no one is innocent.

Both my dad and I entertained voting for Obama for a few days last week, but I just can't. I don't think he will be a bad president, but he just lacks experience and is too nieve on foreign policy and redistribution of wealth (even before Joe the Plumber I was pointing out that Obama has some Socialist beliefs and I just can't back those even if I ignored my other conservative beliefs). And then to remind me about Obama's portayal of weakness from inexperience and nievete came Joe Biden's comment:
“Mark my words,” the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. “It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”
“I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate,” Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. “And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you - not financially to help him - we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.

If Obama were less liberal... and not percieved as weak and nieve as a result of having a hardcore foreign policy and national security I don't necesarily think that our enemies would be out to test him.
As for Prop 8... I am for it. The California Supreme Court overruled the vote of the people in a shoddy case in SF. The people will win with Prop 8. Even though California is really liberal, it will be an overwhelming defeat at the polls like last time.
I have absolutely no problem with giving gay couples the right to a union, but to redefine marriage to include yourself "to be equal" is bogus. I am all for them getting the same exact rights as those in traditional marriages (i.e. financial savings, power of attorney, ownership, etc.)
However, my probelm stems from the social fallout that will follow if Prop 8 fails. As in Massachusetts, the state of California has the legal duty to teach, in tax payer supported public school, that gay marriage is okay contrary to the beliefs of the parents of kids that have to attend class. Let alone go on tax payer paid field trips to SF to participate in their teacher's gay wedding. I won't have my son or daughter taught that "a Prince can marry a Prince" as it has been put.
I don't support their lifestyle, I don't support the redefining of marriage, I don't support public schools endoctrinating our elementary schoolers by going on bs field trips to watch a gay ceremony, but I DO support their rights to be recognized as a union in order for them to gain equality on the financial, hospital, etc. rights over their spose.
Remember to vote people!!! Tuesday November 4th 8am to 8pm!

The 'facts' are what they are contesting, Jayme. That's the problem. The DNC had over a month to do the simple act of producing Obama's birth certificate to the U.S. District Court. That's all I'm saying.
I support the war, so that's not exactly a low point for me. As for voting with Bush 90% of the time, well, even B.O. screwed up and was proved to be human. I guess McCain isn't perfect either, there.
Honestly, I'm voting for Nader. Like I have in the past. When faced with the lesser of two evils, I vote for the idiot that has no hope.

Like I said, everyone has flaws. Why would I vote for someone who agreed with George Bush 90% of the time and wants the war to continue. I dont know about you but thats not someone I would vote for. Obama also admits that he smoked weed, just stopped smoking cigarettes, drinks alcohol, and used cocaine. oh well, now i know he's human.
An you should really check the facts...
When Barack Obama Jr. was born on Aug. 4,1961, in Honolulu, Kenya was a British colony, still part of the United Kingdom's dwindling empire. As a Kenyan native, Barack Obama Sr. was a British subject whose citizenship status was governed by The British Nationality Act of 1948. That same act governed the status of Obama Sr.'s children:
British Nationality Act of 1948 (Part II, Section 5): Subject to the provisions of this section, a person born after the commencement of this Act shall be a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies by descent if his father is a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies at the time of the birth.
In other words, at the time of his birth, Barack Obama Jr. was both a U.S. citizen (by virtue of being born in Hawaii) and a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies (or the UKC) by virtue of being born to a father who was a citizen of the UKC.

It's BS like that that should be left out of the campaign since it's such crap. Atleast they debunked it early on. As for McCain voting with Bush 90% of the time... if that's who people want to tie him to it's no biggie. I'm more concerned with Obama's radical amigos.
Only time and history will tell the success and greatness of a President. Bush has been the least popular in history, and I am by no means a Bush fanboi... but I know that after having 9/11 and fighting two wars in 8 years it's the cost of being America that leads us to have a larger deficit. It's the cost of freedom. And by securing freedom and helping grant liberty to those around the world, we are doing what we do best.
We are being American, inspiring people to rise up and to make better lives for themselves and following generations. By saying no more to dictators and corrupt governments and fighting for the very liberties ordained by God in their creation. Red governments are the enemy of Capitalism, Democracy, and Liberty.

Small, light, and with +P ammo it will hit like .45 FMJs.
Whatever, Like I said, I am voting for Obama and NO ON 8! I dont give a **** about what anyone says, I've checked out my options and I think they are the best available.
I dont think children should be taken to a gay wedding but I do think that children should be taught that not everyone has one mom and one dad. I have a child in my program who has two moms. what am I supposed to say to a child that asks me why? I say, "Not everyone has a mom and a dad, some have two moms, some have two dads, some have just a grandma, some have just an uncle. And thats just the way it is." I dont believe we should lie to children.. But thats just the teacher in me. Children aren't stupid, just undeducated and with the right education they will have such a better understanding of the real world.
Whether you support gay marriage or not, there will always be gay couples. You can accept it or be the judgemental as$holes that you will. It doesn't matter to me if you are judging a gay person or the color of my skin, its still judgemental. so there.
And exactly what I said was going to happen happened.
