I dunno how good of a company they are to work for, but when I worked at Home Depot "William Ford Plumbing" was always in our store doing big orders and what not. They seemed like nice guys when I had to help them put together their orders.

Thanks Steven, AAA called this morning and I've got it all set up, they should be here tomorrow or the next day. I'll be sure to name drop when I'm there.

Mike should be your AAA adjuster, he'll take good care of you.

hey everyone, i got a ?
i got pulled over by CHP and now have to have my car inspected by state ref. Has anyone else gone through this? My car now has Blitz exhaust plugged, cobb up and down pipe. Down is catted. Think I'm OK if they do a sniff test? I heard thats the most they do.

I never been in that situation before. Can you or allowed to just convert your exhaust back to stock? You should be fine because your downpipe is catted, but I'd ask around still.

I don't think it would matter if the up pipe is aftermarket... the stock up pipe is uncatted from the start.

But you should be safe, if your downpipe is catted then you should pass emissions or sniff test. If not, it's illegal because your exhaust will literally be a straight pipe.

The only mod you have is an exhaust on your car, right?

Grab a stock turbo back and toss it on, get it visually inspected and go back home to put the aftermarket right back on. Don't worry about the uppipe too much. If you have any shiny bits it will give it away and will just end up in more fustration and time wasted overall. Basically if you feel iffy about an aftermarket part then more than likely it will get questioned.

umm me! hhaha well so looks like ur car is pretty stock no aftermarket turbo or anything so all you gotta do is put the stock dp and catback back on your car and your good to go! when you go to court show them the paper work from the state ref that you passed and they will charge you like 10 bucks and thats it. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF UR DP IS CATTED PUT THE STOCK ONE BACK ON! jUST in case you were thinking it...hahaha

setup ur appointment over at solano college ref station the guy that does it is hella koo unless they change the person. hahaha

oh and don't worry about the uppipe they won't say anything about it

I got my car repaired at Les Scarlett's auto shop. They did a great job on it. I had my front and rear passenger doors hit. They replaced both doors and repainted my side skirt (don't know why), but I didn't ask them =].

Les Scarlett's Body Shop

Fairfield, CA 94533

If you live nearby just drop in for an estimate, they're nice people.

Anyone would like an SPT intake? I'm going to take it off on Monday. $60 takes it.
