Actually thats a pretty good point you bring up steven, which i would like to comment on (no im not bashing you.)

Awd physically CANNOT give you better traction at maximum grip. It will help pull you out of a sticky situation, but the fact that all 4 wheels spinning with power does not mean that your car will handle better, it all lies in the suspension setup.

Put it this way. Take my car in a month or two (RWD)
Take your car. (AWD)

Put them both with the EXACT same suspension, now ROLL them down a twisty hill and have them both be in nuetral the entire time.

WHATS THE DIFFERENCE!?!?!

Nothing. Awd yes will save you, and is YES alot better for the snow/dirt/sand/mud/rain because its a saving grace.

However, with RWD you can modulate the rear of the car alot better, you can make that car snap on command make it understeer under braking, and rotate under throttle, you can literally control the nose with the *** of the car.

A true race car IS RWD PERIOD. Go ask top racing teams, go ask CUSCO, Their JGTC STI is RWD. Albeit a very custom job on that, but RWD none-the-less.

Dont get me wrong, Awd is great when you need to save your ***, or for the non-track-hardcore-ness-kind.

Im not bashing AWD in any way, im just saying it doesnt suit MY needs for the plans of my car =)

Plus an RWD suby with staggered wheels and 315's in the rear is going to be SO-FA-KING BAD ***

rwd track suby would be quick, but no mountain king in the rain.

and oversteer would be FUN FUN FUN to play

p.s. no bash taken
