well on an Ac system, it runs on a clutch pack.
The clutch pack on the front may be slipping causing the aweful noise.
What type of noise is it making? If its a screetching noise, its your belts that need more tension.
You could be running very low of R134A causing your AC compresser to basically fry itself.
Again, what does the sound sound like? Does it only do it when your fully warmed up? What about early in the morning when its colder as opposed to in the afternoon? Does it happen at every rpm with the AC on?

Its like a sputter, and you can feel it in the engine. Sounds like its coming from the top left of my engine if you were sitting in the drivers seat. It isn't that loud, but you can hear it no doubt and its not healthy.It happens when its on and mostly around the 1k-3k rpm range. I always have my engine warmed up when I drive it. It is pretty picky when it makes the noise too. It may not even be the AC and if its not then i'm concerned for sure. Steven drove it earlier and we think thats what it is but we aren't sure.

just get the regular season pass, sierra at tahoe is the ****tiest resort in tahoe, and if you dont ski often theres really no point in getting a double whammy pass because thats really just used to get around the black out dates at northstar because there are none at Sierra.
and sven, I am super ****ing bored, can you actually believe Im up late doing calc homework not due until next wed because its the most enjoyable of my classes? lol ****.......... i want a suby..

wait scratch that ****, i forgot that the other option is only mon-fri @ northstar, just get the double whammy cuz you definitely want to go on weekends... man northstar is such a rip off this year

i think my clutch is startin to slip. anybody changed a clutch on their suby? is it hella hard and time consuming? if so i may just let a shop do it. i ike to chill on my days off, not go BACK to the dealership. haha
