ray, i dont think i quite understand what the problem is, if you can explain it a little more my honda guru friend downsouth can tell you exactly whats going on!

 

what year is your friends gsr? what year is the type-r engine he swapped in (96-spec or 98-spec)? and what year is the ecu? or better yet if you can get pics of the ecu and its sockets i could help.

oh another note, has anyone had experience with the Perrin Subframe lockout kit? im lookin at that or the whiteline subframe lock bolts.

anybody that goes to this meet have a data logging system that will work on my bugeye??
ie: enginuity etc..
i need to get a datalog asap and se whats up with the boost spiking in 5th

I do. But it will be a while before i'm back. You can download ecu explorer and use your access port cable to plug your ecu into your computer.

 

I believe thats only for AP v1. Which reminds me...I need to find someone with a laptop they'll lemme borrow so I can datalog. I'm curious to see how my OTS cobb map is doing currently.

 

Yes, it's for the v1. You might be able to do it with the v2. I don't know if the cable detatches from the unit.

 

It's primarily the obd2 cable with the AP1 you need otherwise you'd need a tactrix cable to datalog.

I'm really sorry to hear that kinda stuff is happening Sean. At least you two are handling the situation pretty civil from what I can tell unlike most people where its constantly just a shouting match and they just get into huge fights. All I can really say is make sure your covered on your own end legal stuff wise and just keep it civil really. You're pretty levelheaded so you should be okay. If you need anything or whatever just let me know. Teh hatteroo is out there for his friends
