New to Subaru, gimme the absolute LOW DOWN!!!
Alright, I recently got myself a 2000 Legacy L and coming from past experiences with Honda (Civic) and Hyundai (Tiburon) I really have no clue as to what the best choices for my first mods should be, or where to get them. So if someone could give me the low down on the Legacy and where the best place to find Legacy parts is, that'd be great. Thanks!!
Oh and by the way, going from FWD to AWD is hands down the best driving experience EVER!!! Especially during the snowy Maine winter!!! FUN FUN!!!!

Check out www.rallitek.com. I bought my intake from them and I love it. They have a good selection and are easy to work with.

this my favorite thing about cobb tuning......
Additional Engine Development Programs.
Expanding on our popular engine shortblock and cylinder head package line-up we are working on releasing a “greater than 2.5L” displacement custom 4-cylinder shortblock as well as an all-new 6-cylinder line-up of shortblocks and cylinder head packages to suit the EZ30 and EG33 engines.
Scheduled to be released starting in mid-2003
Oh yeah tune me up an EG33, I so want an extra 100+ hp in my SVX without hitting the bottle. I think I'm buying a spare engine and sending it there.

I'd say go in this order:
1. 16"/17" Wheels and "Good" tires -> Can't stress the good tire part enough. = Better stopping and handling.
2. Suspension -> To control the power
-Swaybars
-Endlinks
-Strut bars
-Struts&Springs or Coilovers
3. Brakes -> To stop/control the power
4. Engine -> Make the power
Also, what is your overall goal with the car? That'll help determine what mods to do.

Well my basic goal with the car is probably more towards looks than speed. Probably a 55/45 mix of looks and power respectively. Performancewise all I had really thought about was intake, exhaust, and maybe header, and some suspension (more for the purpose of looks though).
I compete in car audio competition so I don't think I'll be pulling low low numbers at the track with a few hundred pounds of stereo equipment riding along anyways.
I would like to find some things to give it a fast look though, like a subie hood scoop maybe and a body kit, and a rear spoiler (God I think the Legacies look dumb w/out something on the back), and of course, some 17ish inch rims, probably charcoal to go with my dark green car. Thanks for the info and keep it coming!!!
