Best place to order OEM pads?
Hi folks,
We have about 55K miles on our 01 GT. It's an auto tranny and dealer recently mentioned that pads are about 10% left all around. I haven't removed the wheels to actually look but at 55K miles, there should be at least 25% left wouldn't it? We do drive in stop and go traffic a lot but even then, 55K miles look kind of low to have pads changed.
I'll be looking at the pads this weekend. Or maybe wait till the wear indicator squeal.
In any case, where do you guys/gals buy your OEM pads? I hope not through your local dealers. I was thinking of looking at www.subaruparts.com.
Recommendations with good-experienced places appreciated.
Thx

i had to replace my pads on my 01 auto @ around 55-60 all around.
i went with axxis metalmasters...but wouldn't every buy them again. OEM pads from local dealers would be fastest and near cheapest, but also any of the online subaru oem parts vendors would be good if you're willing to wait for them and you may save a few bucks after shipping.
i've had un-eventful(which is good) past experiences with subaruparts.
good luck.
