$25 Test Drive

$25 Test Drive
Has anyone went to one of these? How did the dealer treat you when they found out you're there for the $25. Here's how mine went.
Went to Downtown Subaru in Oakland.
Walked in the door and someone came towards me. I said hello and that me and my friend are there for the $25 Test Drive offer. He says "Sure, I'll fill those out for you". Once he's done, he handed both back to us and said "There you go guys". That was it, he just expected us to leave. I had to ask him for the test drive and he was surprised, and not to enthusiastic.
Once outside the lot, he tried to get us to drive the 2.5I. I had to request the GT Limited Wagon since there were no sedans on the lot. Throughout the entire test drive, he sat in the back and didn't say a word. He let us put drive the car around and at the end, he just asked what we thought and then went back in and we left.
My friend is going to buy a car soon and I may trade in my WRX, but we're definetly not going to this guy!
Did you guys get treated well at your $25 "invitation"?

Go test drive the STi. I was literally blown away. I test drove an EVO before, but it didn't feel smooth at all. It was like press the accelator and wait, wait, BOOM accelation. The STi was instant power, whever the revs were (but obviosly more power up high). The brakes were so amazing. I can't wait until I can afford to buy the newest version!!!

Have not recieved my $25 card yet. I gave it to the dealer I bought my 05 GT from and they said they would mail it in.
I did do the Ford F150 $50.00 test drive and they made me drive a truck. I told them I had no intension of buying one.
I have done this type test drive for Salomon Snow sports stuff for years and have recieved lots of free stuff from Salomon.

I went yesterday to the dealer that I got my 04 2.5TS from and I asked them if I could take a GT wagon out for a spin.
They practically threw the keys at me and said "have a good time, Beat the hell out of it"
And that was without the $25. Hell, I would have paid them $25 to let me drive it. Incredible car. I'd be ordering one if I didn't just get my 04 TS.

I got the same, here you go response. I actually had to ask to test drive it. Very lame. I don't recommend Subaru do such a promotion if the sales people aren't going to try to sell or even be friendly.

Not bad enough to put myself in debt even more than I am now. But damn is it tempting. The power that car has is incredible! Very deceiving. The wagon is a definate Sleeper!!

You may want to put yourself in their shoes. Just think of all the wasted time with 90% of the people only wanting the $25.00. As I posted earlier, Salomon has been doing this type of "test drive and we'll send you a gift" for a while. I have been to Saab, Volvo and Land Rover at least two times each. I had no interest in the cars I just wanted my free gift. The gifts were in most case's Salomon snow cloughs. They are a great slip on shoe that work great in light snowy conditions. I have gotten one of the big gear bags. All the gifts retail around $70.00.
