So how many HP do Neon lights add?
Seriously..do we need cars flashier with lights than police cars on the street? The police need lights to get attention, I would of thought ricers gotten enough attention from their 75 dollar ebay body kits.

I was going to type a long rant about underbody lights and how ugly and useless they are but they really don't deserve that much effort on my account.
Simple fact is: there is no functional benefit to the lights and aesthetically, I think they look stupid. But you can differ on that opinion all you want.

I personally hate those lights, but will admit that through the years, I've grown to appreciate them...but only on a show car that's in a show and not on the streets.
For the most part, Sube owners are geared more towards actual performance mods rather than the aesthetic. Prior to the WRX, most aesthetic mods were merely to replicate the JDM GC8.
Because of this mindset, most of us will not appreciate any mods which do not enhance performance or give off a "JDM vibe." Hence, no go on the neon.
But it's your car. You are free to mod your car any way you like within legal boundaries. Just remember that it will warrant unwanted attention; either from cops or racer wannabes and heaven forbid, haters who would go so far as to vandalize your Sube.

i dont hate them, but i wouldnt put them on my car.
and i can stand them, so long as they arent on while the said car is driving. when parked, its fine.
to each his own i say.
when it comes to lighting, i keep it simple:
headlights, taillights, and a light inside my speakerbox. thats it.

I've always like underbody's as well as other neon lights.
It has to be done clean and tastefully, though. Washer nozzles, valve stem LEDs, and exast tips don't get anywhere near my car.
I have stuff planned for my Legacy. UB/Grill neon, interior stuff, amp rack lit up, etc etc.
My old legacy:
UB / Headlight strobes
