Question why debadge?

Just a question....why do people remove the S U B A R U letters from their decklids? Was there a model available that was sold without the letters on the lid? Is it just personal preference?

Personally, I like the letters. And I like to blow V8's off and let them read in horror that a Subaru just chewed them up.

Just curious.

It's cleaner looking, easier to wax and I don't feel the need to let people know what I'm driving. I figure if they are car people they will know and the rest don't really car. Plus, now with an XT, I'd rather people not know it's a turbo. I like the steatlh/sleeper factor

I do think there needs to be AWD on there somewhere in case some bonehead decides to tow it away though...

The JDM WRX, if I remember correctly, said IMPREZA instead of SUBARU.

I don't like the debadged look much, unless you have the wing -- it makes the back half look really plain.

I debadged mine because i think it looks a lot cleaner. Personal preference, that's all.

I really prefer the look of the trunk without the badges. That's why I pulled them off of mine.

That's because you stuck your exhaust on at an angle, and have a giant tip! No offense intended, but every modded Prelude and Civic in my part of town is set up the same way. Except for the ones with DUAL exhaust, of course...
