Where to buy OEM body kit -- Cheap
I really like the understated look of the factory body kit. I just can't seem to find it anywhere for a price i can actually afford. My budget will only allow me to do one piece at a time. So can I get painted side skirts for less than $260?

For some odd reason, they do not make the OEM kit in black??? So I had to buy a set of white and have it stripped and paint matched/painted black. I did all this through the dealer and it ended up costing me a whopping $1500 or so.... total, parts/painting/labor. It is a really nice looking kit! I suppose I could have shopped around, but if I could do it all over again I would still get this kit. I think it is the best looking, just IMHO. It looks like they use a glue to hold them on (plus screws) and sometimes the clue comes off... so the pieces do not sit totally flush. Do not let this discourage you though, just get some heavy duty double sided tape.

SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG for me to reply to. My power was out :0 (lame excuse lol)
The labor was included when I bought the parts from Subaru (my dealer)

That looks awesome in black!....subtle but not...Once again I am plagued with Rex Envy...In the process of getting a quote from a dealer amd a body shop for painting charges...dang I wish those things came in black stock!
Looks Great!

Thanks From the dealer it was pretty costly.
I was pretty **** about my car when I first bought it (still am) so I didnt want to order the parts off the net and have them painted and have to install them myself for fear I would mess something up.
I think it looks great in person and in pics. The shop matched the color dead on.... midnight blue/black.
Cost me and arm and a leg but it is the only kit I could see on my car. I will post more pics when I get new wheels next week or so.

Wheels will really complete the look...I was worried that getting the OEM kit would make the already small stockers look even smaller thus continuing the hemorrhage of cash...
Still looks sweet...thanks for posting the pics as its hard to imagine what it would look like on Black when you see it on White, Silver, and WRB cars all the time...
We have the better color though...

Black has always been my favorite color car
I have had a 99 black Chevy S10 extended cab
1999 Black Pontiac Grand Am GT
and now my 03 black WRX.
Black cars are sooo nice (most of the time). I am proud of keeping my cars all in great shape. I am very ****.

I had a metallic purple S-10...really cool color...unfortunately the name "Barney" stuck as christened by my friends...you'd never expect a Purple S-10 (Ext. Cab) to have a 1260-watts RMS (stock for them was 16 watts RMS) competition car stereo (10 speakers) though...so the jokes were usually rebuffed with Bass...
Now that I've "matured" (yeah like that will ever happen ) I've moved on to black - it looks so good when clean...and it actually looks better on the slightly overcast days or at dusk rather than bright sunny ones...reflects everything around it...
Although I was thinking of removing the Subaru badge and painting it that metallic purple color - it looks more blue really...just as a little jab back at those friends...
