STi spoiler question

STi spoiler question
I'm just curious, on the underside of the top section of the stock STi spoiler there is some screws with a plastic film covering them. What are those for?
And on the bottom sides of the spoiler (with the trunk closed) there is a few more screws on each side, are those to take the top section of the spoiler off?
