Silver dash/interior trim
#16
Hey IntoTheWRX, I ended up using a Metalizer model paint. I was really happy with the results...for a while. The color looked great, but it was kind of a difficult process. It didn't hold up too well, there is some chipping around my din pocket. I might end up painting it satin black, like you did. How is it holding up? I'm a big perfectionist, so it's got to look good. I don't want to have to repaint this every few months. Let me know how things are holding up, so that I can decide whether or not I am going to redo mine.
Thanks
Joe

the krylon paint that i used is still perfect. no scratches, no chipping of any sort. i highly recomend it. just spray it, let it dry and snap it back on. took me about 70-80% of a whole can.

Thanks man. I painted the rings on my vents, just to get an idea of the contrast and color. It looks pretty good. The paint seems really good. I wish they had a bigger color selection, but I think satin black is going to have to do. I'm going to tear my car apart in a day or two and paint everything else. Thanks for the help, I appreciate it.

I just want to update anyone who is considering using this paint. The can says to repaint within 24 hours or after 7 days, I didn't pay much attention to this and sprayed another coat after about 2 1/2 days. It jacked everything up. Turns out that Krylon put that on the can for a reason, whoops. I ended up taking all of the paint off and repainting. I am satisfied with the results but I am not thrilled. I guess I should stop being so critical.
