shift **** with correct thread pattern?
Does anyone know of ANY shift ***** with a thread pattern that will fit a 2002-4 WRX? The only ones I know of are:
1. The original OEM shift ****, of course
2. The new STi OEM shift ****, with the red stitching. Not 100% on this one, but I think it has the same pattern as the 02-04 WRX.
3. The little titanium STi shift **** that hurts my hand just looking at it
Are there any others? I test drove an EVO the other day, and the best part about it? The shift ****! I need a better one. But I don't want to deal with the standard / universal / fits all ones.
Thanks!
P.S. Can someone explain to me why every car seems to have a different thread pattern? Can't we all just get along?! lol

DogMeat, that's a pretty sweet ****...
I went the cheap way. I went to Pep Boys and bought a $20 chrome/blue shift **** (same shape as DogMeat's). It had one of those cheesy plastic sleaves, but it works fine (although it probably destroyed my threads). I've had it for a year, and it still looks great and shines like new.

Yeah I can be a real cheap bastard too sometimes.. I figured I could make myself one that pretty decent instead fo paying $50 for one. It does look alot better in person though.. that pic i put up doesn't make it look too good. Its just clear plastic with some grooves cut into it with O-rings in the grooves. Next step I am making a plate for under my new Head unit I just installed tonight.. will put up some pics of that when I done.. I hope its looks good. I got a pretty decent idea for it.
