Saab 9-2X roof rail molding part number?

Does anyone happen to know the Saab part number for the moldings that you need when you remove the roof rails on a WRX wagon?

The closest Subbie dealership to me is 2.5 hours away, but we have a Saab dealership in town. The only problem is their parts computer has nothing for the 9-2X in it's database. Does anyone happen to know the Saab part number offhand?

The Subbie part numbers are: 91046FE061 and 91046FE071 if you don't know exactly which parts I'm talking about.

Why don't you just order the Subaru ones from www.subaruparts.com and have them shipped to your door?

I tried that and they refused to ship them "due to history of the parts being damaged during shipping."

It's ok though. I hit up the Saab dealer today to see if they could just call Saab for the part number and they finally got the 9-2X catalog on their computer. The moldings shoudl be in next week. They cost $53 and change each. When I get them I'll post the part numbers for anyone else who might have a situation like mine.

That's interesting. Well, at least you got it figured out. Good luck with the racks, and post pics when you're done!

Looks like any other dirty 2002 Midnight Black Pearl WRX Wagon

Of course these are from about a month ago when I took the rails off and I still don't have the moldings, but you can't see that in the pics! I'll post one when I get the moldings this week.

And to think I've gone to all this trouble and I'm selling the darned thing, but at least my friend who's buying it likes the no roof rack setup.

So how difficult was it to take off the racks? I really want to do this, but am worried that it's a huge PITA. Did you need any special tools to take out the headliner?

It took time, but it wasn't difficult. Yes, for the headliner you really should buy a pickle fork/panel removal tool. They cost about $10 at most auto parts stores. You only need it for a few of the rosebuds, but unless you like ruining them you really want this tool!

The best advice I can give you is take your time. This isn't a 30 minute project. At a minimum set aside a whole day to do it. It won't take that long, but if you're like me you work for an hour, go watch TV for two hours, work for an hour, etc...

Thanks for the tip. I had heard that you needed one of these, but I just wanted confirmation.

Ok the parts came in today. The Saab part numbers for the full length roof rail moldings are as follows:

Left side: 3200-9137
Right Side: 3200-9136

Hopefully this will be of use to anyone who ran into the same situation I did.

Greystar, I want to add rails to my saab 9-2x. Is it the case that I can order those two part numbers and then I'm set?

NO! Those part numbers of for the Saab moldings that are already on your car, NOT for the roof rack itself.

I don't know that Saab even has the roof rack in it's catalog. And who knows if your roof already has the required holes drilled in it.

Ok finished up the car a few weeks ago. Although I no longer own it. A friend from NY left today with it. At least he'll get better use out of it up there than I have since moving down here.

Pics sans roof rack:
