S203 interior trim?
Whats goin on again fellas? I wanted to paint my center console and trim S202 black. I know a bunch of you guys have already done this. What paint did you guys use? I have a buddy that sprayed his the wrong color, and now it looks almost like a gloss black and doesnt really match the rest of the dash (it also looks a bit ricer ) isnt it almost like a flat or matte black finish?

Just use FLAT/MATTE black and you should be good. Some people say fingerprints stick to flat black, but I haven't had that problem. I think the Krylon stuff I used tried really weird and textured, I did not like it, and it didn't sand very well

Solvents in the paint probably reacted with/melted the plastic, you should use something that is formulated for use on whatever the console is made of

Plasti-Dip; they also have it at Home Depot. There's a big long a thread about it over on Nasioc. I did mine a couple of months back and also got the red hazard switch from subarugenuineparts.com. Very pleased with the results.

i used kyrlon semi-flat black spray paint. picked it up at the local hardware store for like 4 bucks. no sanding. just kinda scuffed mine up (original peices). then gave it 2-4 coats. let it dry. (didnt need to sand it after i painted it) snap it back in. lasted me so far about 1.5 year. no problems with anything.

DONT USE PAINT!! IT WILL LOOK LIKE CRAP!
Got to Home Depot and buy one can of PLASTIDIP in Black. This stuff is amazing. It's a textured plastic that will look very OEM. Then go on to IWSTI and look for the guy that sells the HVAC Decals.
Paint looks no where near as OEM as the PlastiDip.
And for prep, scuff it up with some steel wool or synthetic steel wool then wipe it down.
