Roof Rack Deletes Install help??!
Ok so I got a 2005 wrx wagon and bought the roof rack deletes for the saab with thed part numbers you guys provided on i-club (thankyou very much by the way). Those part numbers for you guys that want them and dont got em they are Left side 3200-9137 and the right side is 3200-9136. Now that I got em how do you install them. The black trim peices just pop off I now that, but it looks like the bolts for the roof rack are underneath the headliner. Is this true? Do I really have to take the headliner out to get the racks off? SOunds like a stupid design move by subaru if you ask me. but anyway any help on this subject would be great. Thanks.

I I have done this. You have to remove the head liner. This means the visors, dome lights{front, rear} A,B,C trim pieces, seat belt guides, ect all have to come off. In addition you are going to need some silicone to fill the holes wwhere the roof rack bolts go through. It sounds worse than it is. It takes about three hours. I have been meaning to do onemanarmy's for a while now.

It's really very easy ~ our interiors are just like Lego pieces. They all pop in and out.
Two things:
#1) Make sure you use expanding rubber plugs to fill the holes from the orginal bolts AND silicone ~ no want leeky under headliner!
#2) Leave the plastic trim tabs IN THE GUTTERS ~ line them up with the new trim pieces... you guessed it ~ Pop them back in with the heel of your hand. We wasted morte time trying to figure out how the mounting worked fro the new rail trim then the entire project. Moral? Don't overthink it!
Oh, and the mod is SO worth it. My wagon looks lower, meaner and cleaner!

Or if you manage to find a Saab owner who wants to swap...
You can reuse the Saab inserts. They are metal pieces with two bolts. Might still have fresh rubber/silicone from the factory. They go in where your roof rails were bolted to.
This is what I did and it is the best (factory stock) option.
