Why? So you can make it Rice White or Rice Blue instead of what Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 says?

I did the same mod. Sticking your headlights in the oven is a little scary but follow the directions to the T and you should have no problems. Also, if you do it quick enough you can open em up, pop out the amber cover and reseal them without have to recook them.

Totally legal once you have amber bulbs, which I do: Osram Diadems.

Ill take a pic of mine and post it shortly. I HATE orange. I must have spent over 500 dollars getting rid of every bit of orange off of my RS a few years ago...

As for my stock WRX headlights... well... I may be the only one that ever has done this, but I just got pissed looking at that stupid orange thing and literally cut them up into little pieces with wire cutters and shook them out. It took about 1 hour per light, and I swore about 90 times per light... so yeah, 180 cuss words.

That said, I put in yellow lights and I love em. Very happy with the results. In hind sight, I just should have read the forums and seen how to do it the "right" way.

I actually thought about doing exactly that after I cooked my headlights to remove the orange. An hour per light is about how long it took me to prep, cook, remove and reseal each headlight. Plus, you didnt have to deal with melted sealent dripping into the headlight. I'll try your method on my next WRX.
