Orciari headlights
Looking for some help guys....
I just had the Orciari headlights installed on my 2002 wrx. Now these things are a bit to install, what I am finding is that the measurement to set the beam in the instructions in way way to low. We adjusted but still seems off. Does anyone have any idea on the measurements when setting these lights to normal headlight placement. I still think the beam is out somewhat. Seems to be too much on the ground instead of straight ahead. Any advise/help is much appreciated. Oh ya, now the first thing to do when you get the lights is make them left hand drive, which we did. However, the beam seems to shoot way to much to the left and hardly anything to the right, almost like the opposite of what you would exspect. Any help/advise is much appreciated.....thx ...dan

i dont know about left/right beam aiming, but for up and
down, you should just trial and error. when I lowered my
wrx, the factory headlights were aiming too low. so
i pulled my car up to my garage door about 12ft away and
turned on the headlights. i took masking tape and taped
the driveway where my tires were. also took another
tape and taped the very top line of the beam on the
garage door. I then rasied the beam to a certain height
and set the other headlight to the same height.
then took it out for a quick spin around the block at night.
it still looked too low, so I pulled up the the tape on the
driveway where my tires were and moved the height of
the beam another 5-6 inches. then took it out for another
spin. after a couple of times, it was perfect. then took it
out to a small 2 lane road to see if the opposing car would
flash its highbeams. it didn't, so walla! done.

bad instructions
Ok for some reason the Orciari headlights instruction says the first thing that is needed to be done before installing is to make sure you have the lights at the appropriate left hand or right hand drive. This change is simply a removal of screw and a loosening of two others, turn the light and put the screw back in and tighten. Now, we did this and changed to left hand drive. Now for some unknown reason this should have stayed at right hand drive???? The beam is proper now and much much fuller. You should have the passenger beam just a tad highter then the drivers side.

did you need to do that?
I thought Orciari was an Italian co. (of course they are!)If so their products are allready set up for LHD vehicles and you would only have to alter them for the UK.Double check that, but that may be your problem.
