One way to disable them temporarilly is to pull the parking brake up one notch. I don't think that would activate the brakes.

Let me count the reasons...
#1) Dislike Big Brother watching over me all the time.
#2) Really don't need to attract any more attention to my car.
#3) Others find it annoying.
#4) If you don't live in Sweden it's just plain dumb.
#5) Because if you decide to just leave your low beams on all the time the dash lights (and radio) are too dim to see during the day.
#6) And the BEST is ~ got tired of playing 'remember to turn your tailights on' at dusk ~ count how many Suby's you see running at night with just DRL's!!!
