Unhappy Melted Brake Light Housing

Hey all,
I have tried searching for something on this, I cant find anything. After a long (4hour) fast drive the other day, I opened my trunk to find that the 3rd brake light from the rear deck had melted through the housing and was hangin in my trunk. It doesn't seem electrical cause the filiment wasn't fried and the wires looked fine too. Just seemed like it got too hot.
Anyone experience anything similar?

Same thing happened to mine. I guess the brake light housing melts too easily . I better go call my dealer and ask him about it.

Thanks all,
It good knowing you're not the only one. And that it is not electrical (thank god).
I'll have the dealer replace it when they fix my cruise control.
