maximum wattage for fog light bulbs
hey i just bought some new brighter bulbs for my fog lights and they are 125 watts, just wondering if thats too much or should i worry about melting my fog light housing or somethin like that, thanks!

Do NOT put those in your stock fog lights! 125W is way too much for the stock wiring, it may just blow the fuse but even if it doesn't the wiring may become dangerously hot. Prolonged use of high-watt bulbs may also discolor the reflectors. Also those bulbs do not last nearly as long as stock wattage ones, you would be replacing them before long.
Take them back to the store and stick with stock wattage (55W) bulbs. If you really want to run higher than stock wattage and do it safely you'll need to upgrade the wiring, and even then 125W is probably too much for stock fogs.
Depending on what you are really trying to do with your lights (better fogs for bad weather visibility, more light for regular night driving, bling) you may be better off installing a good set of aftermarket driving lights along with some better wiring, either in addition to or in place of your OEM fogs.
