I got pulled over for speeding and having an unlit rear plate. anyways, I checked it out the next day both bulbs were cooked. I changed them out, and the stupid thing still doesnt light up. All my fuses appear to be OK since the rear lights and brake lights work. Any ideas why those are just out? is there any kind of plug underneath the dash or anything like that that could have come undone while wiring up gauges or anything like that? thanks

Was any work done on the car where the rear bumper was removed? There is a connector inside the trunk where the wires for the license plate lights pass through to the bumper, it may have been left unplugged. To access and check it you need to remove the trim around the trunk latch area.

thanks dude. I'll try that tomorrow or so. depending how cold it is. Jersey is cold as hell right now even though I was driving aroudn with the windows donw yestruday during out 62 degree freak weather. now its 18 and feels like 2
