Legacy GT non-limited: dual zone climate control?
I've been searching for an answer to this for a while now, and I wonder if anyone who has actually sat in a US Legacy GT non-limited can confirm- does it have the automatic dual-zone climate control, or the manual controls?
The Subaru brochure says it has the manual controls, but other descriptions I have read of the car say that all GT models come with the dual zone. Can anyone help?
Thanks,
-Nick

I'm going to a Subaru dealer today. If they have a non-Limited I'll let you know, but last time I was there they only had one GT and it was a Limited.
Edit: I was there today and they only had one GT and it was a Limited, so I still don't know. On the good side I did get to drive it - oh my. I want one.

I think you better check again. In the 05 Legacy borchure only the Limited's (all four of them) have dual digital climate control with 6 speed fan. All the others have a different system with a 4 speed fan.
I will check mine when I pick it up this Friday, but I believe my 05 Gt Wagon non-limited, does not have the dual climate control system as the Limited's.

Yes, the brochure is wrong. As I said above, I sat in a GT non-limited (cloth seats, no sunroof), and it HAD dual-zone climate.
This correlates with several press releases from Subaru posted on this and other sites. Basically, the only publication claiming manual controls in the GT non-limited is the brochure.

Thinking about it now, I think there are two ***** down there for the heat. The weather has been so nice on the test drives, heating and cooling has not been an issue.
May be where the borchure is getting confused is with the six speed fan. I just called the dealer, my sales person was busy with another customer, the person I spoke with will have her check for us. BTW there are going to NH to get my car today.
Other sites ?? what could they be ?

Here, this should prove it to you. On Subaru's website, under features and specifications for the Legacy GT, it says:
Dual-zone automatic digital climate control system with controls for temperature, 6-speed fan, airflow direction, automatic mode and CFC-free air conditioning
Here's the link:
http://www.subaru.com/shop/specifica...teriorfeatures
Now do you believe me?

Just heard back from my dealer. Yes the GT's do have the dual climate control. COOL. See even the dealer agrees with you.
Nickel, Hey thanks for putting up with me. The car is there and will be ready for me in the morning. Oh Boy, Oh Boy, it won't be long now.
BTW, My Valentine one should be here tomorrow night.
