Question Interior scratch removal suggestions

I have managed to scratch my interior plastic and need some suggestions as to how to remove it. The scratch is not major (1/4 inch long) but it is kinda deep. Is this just a form of "unwanted customization" that I will have to live with or can I fix this eyesore somehow?

I've done the same on my passenger side door but I haven't found anything that will fix it.

never tried this but read it once and it sounded pretty valid...

get a piece of plastic that matches the pattern of your plastic panels. use a heat gun to soften up the area that is scratched (but don't melt or burn it of course). then take the small piece of matching plastic and push it against the area.

supposedly it will replace the scratch with the pattern and the plastic will accept it like a mold due to it being soft from being heated.
