what kind of spray paint would be good to use? its a carbon fiber hood scoop, it looks like crap because the clear coat has faded off... i was maybe thinking like a satin black, or flat not sure...

 

What does the rest of the car look like? Are there other satin black parts or are there other flat black parts?

IMO I like stuff to match and I painted my grill and chrome trim bits trim black and now they actually match the black trim on the mirrors and around the windows and I have a nice black/gold theme going on.

Why not just go with a new clear coat and actually take care of it?

Do you plan on doing any kind of prep on it? IMO straight up spray painting over bad paint never looks good.

 

the car itself is wrb. the only other satin black parts is the trim on the side view mirrors, and the side skirts (for now). the reason i didnt want to clear coat it again is that its probably gonna fade again. my entire carbon fiber hood looks like s***. luckily i found and bought a oem wrb hood on here, but didnt come with the scoop... so im just gonna take the scoop off of my carbon fiber hood re-paint it and stick on the new hood... i just figured i needed a paint that would withstand temperature changes in the weather and of course from the engine heat... not sure what would look good, any thoughts?
