help meproblems with reverse indiglow light
hey guys i just install the reverse indiglow lights that i bought from ebay. they look sweet like the VW blue and the white face does not glow. also the area with the Kilometer is reverse to so you can olny see the numbers. i hope you got the picture. well anyways after installing it i noticed that the needle cant be seen. How does the needle light up? is there a Led reflection to make the needle glow or is it that the blue is so much brighter that the needle light cant be seen?
Also i noticed that my radio, mileage, and HVac lights are much dimmer. when the headlights are off the radio screen is bright but when i turn on the parking light it gets dimmer and when the headlights are on it barely glows. The Hvac and the mileage is struggling to glow. In the directions of the reverse indiglo, instead of tapping the red wire to the parking light, i just wrapped it around the radio fuse. IS that a big deal? do i need to better ground my black wire. do i need to ground out my battery with those 5 link wire. Well my battery is in the trunk so give me some suggestions. in this pic the headlights were on, notice the mileage and needle. Help a Subbie out!
Thanks

Ok, I need the detail of your indigo.
Is that installed by you or professional?
The needle is operate along, so the indigo won't affect the needle.
Is the needle no light or the indigo block it?
Need detail before I can help you.
If you are in southern cal, I can help you in person.

ARE YOU IN SO CAL? Your problem may not be fix if just base on the situation you told us. There may be something wrong.
I need to know where your power +/- connected to? tapped on one of the illumination cable?
You don't need to cut any potion of the guage face since it should perfectly fit on the cluster.
If your needle light not go on, so as the radio light as they are coming from same power source.
Tell me exaxtly how you install the guage.

"Sometimes you have to check the dimmer turn switch on the signal lever which located at left side and behind your steering wheel.
you have to turn to full brightness for the indigo and needle becomes light up. If you accidently turn to no brightness. all light will goes off.

i am not from SoCAl i just rewired my black and red wire. i used subbymods.com and connected red to a black and red wire under the steering wheel. then i took the black and hooked it to the metal under the steering wheel. the radio is alot more dimmer. did i not ground it right? also for some reason my break lights stay on. i cant figure out why the needle light does not work. can some one tell me which wire/ bulb controls it.

try tap the negative to the frame. and try to tap the postive to the illumation wire on your fog light. This is the setting I'm using and working fine on my indigo.
The breaking light stay on all the time? even after you started the engine?
