going wingless but not why you think-READ
ok so everyone knows the sti spoiler weighs a ton and makes getting into the trunk a pain.well since i have had my shoulder surgery its been impossible to open one handed.so,im removing it.but since its raining ill need to fill the holes until i can hit a body shop.
with that said im wondering if someone can tell me how many holes there are and approx. size.i have a rather large collection of stainless bolts.and a few that have a flat head.im going to powder coat these and use them to cover the holes for the time being.so any help would be great, hell a pic of a freshly removed wing would be awsome

Also. If you must remove wing. Go down to home depot and buy some plastic plugs in the nut and bolt section.

******** If you can't open the sti trunk with your stock sti torsion bars then I highly suggest against doing this mod unless you plain on changing out the sti rods for wingless ones. If you don't then you won't be able to shut it. You think the trunk is heavy know wait till you try and push it down without the sti spoiler on it.**************

^^^^ what he said, make sure when going wingless get some wrx bars. With the sti bars without the wing, it'l shoot up like crazy and pushing down on it to close will create dents and dings and still a PITA to close. And also without any bars to either wingless or winged trunk it will be heavy.
