Easiest way to make Impreza L look like 2.5RS
I'm thinking about getting an Impreza L in the near future only because it's not in my budget to get a 2.5RS. I really love the GC8 styling and especially love the sleek look of the 2.5RS's. So I was wondering, if I got an Impreza L, what all would I need to do in order to make it look like a nice 2.5RS? I've heard the only differences are the front bumpers and the rear wing. I don't know a whole lot about Subarus so pardon my ignorance. I'm always willing to learn!
I'd really like to get a 4door, so are there any differences between 2 and 4door models that I should be aware of? I wanted to do a search on this before hand but I wasn't quite sure what to search for in order to get results. So: what's needed for the L to 2.5RS cosmetic conversion, both 2 and 4 doors? Thanks a lot!!

what's the price difference between an L and a 2.5RS?
I ask because after you by parts, pay labor for install/paint and spend your personal time, you still won't have the 2.5rs' performance and it may have cost you a similar amount as if you had purchased the car up front, and the total would've been financed.

Got my Black '98 L w 40K for $8,000. My friend's 2000 2.5 destroyed my car the one time we lined them up (this is also my first standard... his third or so) but I still love my car...
The major concern for me was insurance. Could afford a 2.5 but the insurance difference was enormous, even with good student discount and no tickets for almost 6 years now.
Go with the L, it isn't as fast but you'll love it all the same. Not all of us need to be street ricers.. I mean racers

all you need to get is the rear wing, new headlights, grill, front bumper, and hood.
there is a nice kit at www.get-primitive.com that will do jsut that all you need is the Hood and Headlights.
