Dear Abby,

so which bulbs to get from www.danielsternlighting.com and which have you guys tried/like???
The H3
1.)60/55W Ultra High Efficacy Plus 50 (Tungsram Megalicht, Narva Rangepower+50, Osram Silverstar or Philips VisionPlus*): $17/ea
2.)60/55W Narva Rangepower High Efficacy Plus 30: $11/ea
3.)100/55W Narva: $15/ea
4.)100/90W Narva: $18/ea
5.)130/100W Narva: $19/ea

Of course the more wattage the better so #5 sounds great right? But won't a wiring harness made for 55w bulbs melt trying to power a 130w bulb or high-beam, if you will????

Thanks,
Confused Cody

Any of those +50 bulbs will give good results. Use the stock wattage ones only, the higher wattage bulbs can damage your wiring and/or light housings from excessive heat.

No, 100W is definitely NOT stock wattage. The 60/55's are ok, stay away from anything higher.

Another good way to get your bulbs to last longer...is to not touch them with your bare hands.

The oils from your hands do some funky stuff to the bulbs

That's what I was thinking, my Silverstars have been going strong still for me. I also had a set in my Maxima that lasted at least 2 yrs, and then I sold the car. I always install my lights VERY carefully and never touch anything that could get oil even transferred to the bulb.

Hopefully you kept the packaging so you can send them back in for a refund.

From my post from 4-16, I went in and xchanged them for some new ones hoping that it was just a faulty one. Well all has been well until i noticed my driver side low beam and my pas side fog light went out today. I think i'm just going to put my money toward some Sti headlights.

I have had them in every car I have owned so far without problems. I did have a set pop but just sent them in for warranty.

Not even the worst $2 bulbs in existence would burn out that fast. You must have licked them and then dipped them in gasoline before installing them.
