Cup Holder
This is kind of minor but...
On the 02 wrx the cup holder extends from the dash. Mine worked fine untill recently, now the cup won't fit down in the holder as far as it used to and falls out from time to time. The problem seems to be that the little lower base of the holder doesn't go down as far as it used to. I'll take it in as soon as I get my stock wheels back on for the winter and see if the dealer will warranty it.
Anybody else have this problem?
Jim

Make certain that the cupholder tray is pulled all the way out. If it's even the slightest bit retracted, the bottom portion won't extend downward to its lowest position, thereby letting cups fall out. My cupholder is 'sticky' but works if I pull it straight out.
If this isn't the case with yours, the dealer can fix you up under warranty.

There are a lot of plastic-on-plastic rubbing surfaces on that cupholder. I may try a light dose of silicone lube to see if it slides out easier (never have a problem pushing it back in).
