Clearing the '05 headlights
Well i decided to 'sack up' and go ahead and try to clear my headlights. so far so good. waiting on the oven timer to go off so i can put the screws in and put the housing back in it's place.
although i figured since it's so late, i'd do the other headlight in the morning.
just thought i would post this since i've got nothing to do but sit for the next 12 mins.
i'll post pics soon!

I want to mention that your attached pics don't show up in Firefox without clicking on the attachment icon. You can see them because they are stored in your browser cache. No thumbnail is displayed like other normally attached pics. Unless my browser is crapping out on me, I think it's because your uploaded file sizes are way too large.
I used the freeware Irfanview to convert the Windows .bmp to JPEG and the file size was reduced from 386kb to 19.8kb with no noticeable degradation of the image. It also helps conserve disk space on this board's server. You can use Photoshop or whatever software you have handy to convert from .bmp (Windows bitmap) to JPEG format.
I've split off and moved your post about your rims to the For Sale forum because posting of items for sale is not permitted in the technical forums. Thanks.

nope, no melting at all
i was really worried about the seal, especially on one because after i had popped out the ambers and stuck it in the oven to reheat the caulk, i had screwed all the screws needed to hold them together....but i had one extra. turns out i had forgotten to put in the screw that hold the black trim in the housing....doughh
had to unscrew everything, put it back in the oven to losen the caulk, take it out, separate the front/back put in the screw, put back together, reheat and rescrew everything. ughhh
the second headlight only took me 20 mins.
everything turned out successful; and it rained yesterday so i thought it would test the seal. NO FOGGING =)
