Clear Bra
Does anyone have a clear bra or even 3M clear headlight covers on their impreza. I definitely want to put the stuff on my headlights and fogs, but I'm not sure if I should get a full front clear mask. Any insight on the subject would be greatly appreciated, including where to buy and how to install etc. etc. etc. Thanks

I have the clear bra covering the following on my wrx:
front of hood, front of fenders (up to side markers), side grill pieces and side mirrors.
With Subaru's fragile paint I highly recommend it and its barely noticeable - i have a black car so its a bit more visible than any other color but its worth it since i'd have more than my share of chips in the paint otherwise.
I got stongard and i suggest you get it installed at a recommended dealer if you don't have experience applying things like tint. Its a bit tricky to work with...

Thanks a lot for the information. I found a dealer nearby. The price of the kit isn't too bad, but the cost of installation is outrageous. I guess it's pretty labor intensive. Just out of curiousity, what did you pay to have your installed. The authorized stongard dealer quoted me $465 installed. Does that seem high. Thanks

got one on my wrx and i put it on myself. i used to work at a sign shop and have a lot of experience puting vinal on cars and trucks, but let me say that this stuff is different. i would recamend getting it installed proffessional, and had i had to do it over i would have paid the extra money. its the bends and the strechign that is tricky. but if you decide to do it yourself make sure you get someone to help you line it up when you applyy it. also use lot of the water/ alcho solution, and don't leave any air bubbles. there will be some water bubbles thats ok but i don't recomend poping them with a needle or anything at all. Just give it time and sun, eventually they will go away.
hope this helps

I got a 3M 18" kit installed (Goes 18" up the hood and covers the front of the side mirrors). It cost me about $200 and I love it. It's not very noticable and in Colorado during the winter months they seem to spread out pea gravel instead of sand on the roads so I guess for me it was a necessity.
