Anyone know of a good solenoid for a 2004 wrx sdn trunk

Theres an automatic kit for opening trucks. I think i saw one on http://www.autoloc.com/ hope this helps...

why would you need that, is the stocl one broken, i tohught they all have them right on the flot next to the gas cover release.

I think he's talking about a remote trunk release. The manual trunk release doesn't use a solenoid i think. It's a mechanical linkage that pulls the lock to open the trunk lid. That's how it was on my old car anyway.

I plan on getting a remote trunk release eventually too, most likely with an aftermarket car alarm.

oooh you mean the thing that goes on the key chain remote, like the power sliding door on a miniVAN. remote trunk popper. gotcha.
