autometer boost gauge in oem housing?

as the title says I got an autometer boost gauge from one of my friend's and decided to replace the stock one with this autometer one. I have read on nasioc.com that you can fit aftermarket gauges in the oem steering column housing. He didn't go into too much detail on how to exactly do that so I was wondering if anyone has done this or can point in the right direction of a how to.

Thanks

The OEM boost gauge (Lamco) is 42mm in size. The only aftermarket gauge I know of that fits in the pod is the 45mm Omori. Autometer does not make a 45mm AFAIK so yours is probably larger and will not fit in the OEM pod.

Thanks for the reply. Went ahead and bought an autometer gauge cup to hold it and keep a cleaner look instead of having the wires hanging out the back of it.
