Question 5 Point Seat Belt question

I am getting a speedware harness bar for performance seat belts. I don't know the exact brand yet but I was wondering. What do you guys do about the seat belt light ? I have a few ideas but i figured i would try you guys. You crafty devils you haha. Thanks to any and all responses.

you should look into a roll bar if you are getting 5 ppoints some has mentioned before that if you car gets turned up side down, the 5 points do not let you body slide down in the seat, most likely snapping you neck, becaseu the roof caves in, with out the roll bar that goes up over above you head, the other things is that they suckfor every day driving, it is very hard to turn and look around, like backing up and merging in trafic.

Another consideration is that not all racing harnesses are D.O.T. legal for street use. Not enough people use harnesses on the street to know whether the CHP will cite you for non-compliant belts.

It isn't a question of whether the racing harness is as safe as factory seat belts, but the D.O.T. means that factory belts have passed a known standard of testing.

If you're worried about DOT legality, I believe that Schroth and Sabelt are indeed DOT legal. Either that, or you can wear your harness in conjunction with the stock 3-pointer

yeah, i have a 5pt harness on my car...i also have a roll bar in my car. I would seriously suggest you get a roll bar. I haven't had any problems with the popo yet in considerations to the roll bar or harnesses. I have sparco harnesses... i don't know if they are dot approved.
