'05 STi foglights behind grill install
Thought I should cross post this in the proper section. Started out asking the BAIC for suggestions and it turned into a how to.

Will edit tomorrow with comments.
So first I picked up some simple L corner braces from the hardware store. I think they are 1 1/4 X 1/14 but dont quote me. I also picked up four M5 nuts and two M5X16's bolts and two M5X10's bolts (or M5X8 can't remember)
Attach the L bracket as above to the light. I used the shorter bolt here (M5X10 or 8)
Adjust the light sides so that the bolt is @ the rear. This lets the light sit all the way back, or at least as far as it will go. Take time here getting the L braces straight and making sure this adjustment is straight. This is basically aiming the lights. You can come back and adjust later, but you will want to dial it in pretty good.
Here is the adjustment on the other side of the the light.
This piece covers the hood latch cable. The only thing I think it does is block the cable and make it harder for someone to break in under the hood. It will be in your way if you leave it. I bent it back and forth until it snapped. It's a tad thicker than a soda can.
Here it is out of the way. Now adjust the cable so it is out of your way. The middle hole I drilled 1" between the existing whole with a clip holding the hood cable and 1" in from the square grill bracket hole. Look at the whole in the middle with the dremel wander marks. That is where you will mount the light. I just used a small metal drill bit and cleaned the burrs down with a dremel bit.
Here I did the same thing on the passengers side (light already installed). I just split the distance between the two stock holes.
Back to the drivers side as this is the harder one do to the cable being in your way. You want to put the L brace behind the radiator support and in front of the hood latch cable. I pulled the cable down to get it out of my way so it wasn't effecting the level of the light.
slip it into place just like so.
USE LOTS OF LOCKTITE! I don't know about you but my suby sees a ton of vibration from harsh roads. Don't want to let the roads re-aim my fogs
Here is the passengers side in place and locktited up.
Now both installed and "pre-aimed"

Further back view w/o grill on.
Harness plugged up to lights.
Middle of the light is 22" off the ground. Nice! Not optimal but within tolerances per Tirerack.com
Here is where you will run the wire harness. Right under the drivers side headlight. I zip ties the wires to the horn first, and then continued the wires down under the headlight.
Close up of wire route. Note the white plastic piece. See where the wiring went right below that? Use that as a ref point if you do the same.
Grill on! There is about 1-2mm of clearance but it should be enough. I know these lights will create heat but while driving the air should cool them fine. I will let you know if I end up melting my mesh though.
This pic is taken @ my eye level. You can barely see those puppies hiding back there.
Tuner lugs, +15whp!

This was about 7'-9' away from my garage door.
Just fogs
HID Low Beams
HID Low Beams and Fog Lights
Halogen High Beams
Halogen High Beams wit /fog Lights
All in all the camera doesn't do these lights any justice. They are phenomenal little fog lights. Worth EVERY penny imo, and I haven't runt them in any fog yet.
to be continued......................in fog.
