Okay - looking at the front bumper there is a black plastic section around the inside of the opening for the radiator.

Is this a seperate part from the bumper or is molded as part of the bumper and painted black?

I tried to get this off but could not figure out how to get this piece out without breaking something.


Any insight from those who have removed their bumpers (or broken them trying to get them off)

 

I am pretty sure that is part of the bumper, underneath it is your bumper beam and foam.

Anyone with a Frontmount usually removes that chunk of bumper.

Yes, it's part of the bumper cover, all one piece. It's not painted, the black is actually the color of the bumper before it's painted.

I am not doing a FMIC but I like the more open look.

Would you have any other shots of the cut out bumper - maybe an upclose of where the bumper was cut?
