Hardwire USB phone charger?
Is it possible to safely hardwire a USB phone charger to the fuse box on the impreza outback sport?
If so, could you provide instructions on how to, that would be great.
Thanks!

It can be done. You need to make sure to run an inline fuse to the USB charger adapter for protection in case of over current due to a short or other fault. You will need to take apart the adapter and find the wires that are attached to the 12V connections to the car side. They will be the wires to attach to the fuse panel. You will undoubtedly need to use extra wire depending on where you want to place the charger.
PM me and I can help with the details. -Chris

One thing though, It seemed pretty difficult on my car specifically without taking a ton of stuff off to get a hotwire all the time which I was trying to do with a couple outlets, but just a heads up since this is what you might have been looking for too.

Thanks for the heads up. But i already finished this. Forgot to post back.
What I opted to do was buy an "add-a-fuse" -Sorry chris, I saw the thing you told me to get, and i got it, but i got really worried about tapping into the wires since there are like 1000 all in that one spot. So i just used an "add-a-fuse", replaced the 12v cig lighter fuse with the add a fuse, then added an additional 3amp fuse for the charger. However, I need to find a 2a fuse instead, since i might the risk of damaging everything else.

It's definitely working. All im worried about right now is having a 3amp fuse inplace for a 2amp fuse.
I have the inline fuse holder you told me to get, and i couldnt find any mini 2a fuses. Is it possible to hardwire the inline fuse holder into the add a fuse socket?
