Upipe is quite easy after you do it a couple of times. For a first timer, prepare for lots of cussing and broken knuckles. I'd suggest hooking up with someone who's done it before or searching for as much info as possible.

You don't have to pull the turbo to get the uppipe out. You can pull it out from underneath the car, you will have to jack up the passenger side of the motor a little bit inorder to get it out.

to do the uppipe you have to
first take off the downpipe(five 14mm bolts at the turbo and 2 bolts holds the downpipe to the mid pipe).
undo the five 14mm bolts that holds the uppipe to the turbo (3 bolts hold the uppipe to the turbo and the other 2 holds the uppipe to the bracket)
then you have remove the bolts that hold the uppipe (2 14mm bolts) to the manifold
then unbolt manifold from the cross pipe.

If you remove the egt gauge from the uppipe you may be able to remove the uppipe without having to jack the motor up.

the uppipe should come out the bottom.

he took it out the top and put it back in... no lifting of the motor or crosspipe taking out, alot simpler in my head...

Might I suggest that he takes a lovely drive on HWY 49 and allow me to do the job?

I definitely had some trouble installing my up-pipe. It took awhile...but what i managed to do was just simply jack up the engine about a quarter inch and it should slip out easily! I couldnt seem to find any other way other than that....unless messing with the turbo

You know you did it just for the post count!! j/k

Anywho... yeah. Easiest way to get the up-pipe out is to lift the passenger side of the motor up a little, take off the passenger side manifold so you can pull the up-pipe down a little, twist it, pull it up behind the turbo a little and then out the bottom where the down-pipe was.
