stripped oil pan bolt
Hey,
I was replacing my oil and tightened the bolt to the oil pan without a crush seal on it and now i have a tiny oil leak due to the stripped threads on the oil pan. I had replaced the bolt and put a new seal on it and still leaking. I wasn't sure if i should use a keensert or a heli-coil to fix the problem.
Thanks

There is plug you buy that when you tighten it the threads expand in the hole and it will stop your leak I've used them before and alot cheaper than replacing the plan...Also Heli-coil works very well if you want new threads.. Or another ghetto fix would be to get a crush washer and put high temp silicone on the washer and tighten it all back up....Good Luck!!!
